FSA (Families & Staff Association)
WHAT DO THE FSA DO? - Like all school PTAs, the FSA has two main aims:
- arrange social events for our members to enjoy which helps build the school community and raises funds which enable us to...
- pay for activities and facilities which support our children's learning and development.
Reigate Priory FSA (Families and Staff Association) is an essential and valued part of the school community. All parents, guardians and carers automatically become members by having a child at the school. All school staff are also included. There is an enthusiastic FSA committee that represents everyone, but there are plenty of opportunities for family members to get involved and to help out at any number of fundraising events.

MORE DETAILS ABOUT WHAT PARENTS / CARERS CAN DO TO SUPPORT THEIR FSA
1. MAKE SURE YOUR CLASS HAS A CLASS REP OR SIGN UP TO BE ONE YOURSELF!
What does a rep do?
- Join the FSA REPS WhatsApp group to ensure we have easy 2-way communication between families, teachers and the FSA and to keep all parents & carers informed about all things FSA-related
- Encourage and coordinate parent/carer helpers from their class to support or help run FSA events
- Disseminates information from the FSA to our families and feedback questions and ideas
- Attends FSA meetings & the AGM (or ensures someone else in the class attends if they unable to come themselves)
A rep is not expected to …
- Do everything themselves!
- Volunteer extra time to run FSA event
- Deal with school admin, questions or concerns
PLEASE MAKE SURE EVERY CLASS REP SENDS THEIR DETAILS TO THE FSA COMMITTEE ON THE REPS WHATSAPP GROUP SO THAT WE HAVE AN UP-TO-DATE LIST!
2. VOLUNTEERING FOR CERTAIN ROLES OR KEY FUNDRAISING EVENTS
Volunteering your time is a rewarding way to get involved, to have fun, and to meet other families at the school. There are a number of tasks that are required to be filled throughout the year, some that can be done from home in advance of our events, so don’t worry if you can’t attend yourself in person to help on the day of a specific event. Your particular set of skills can be put to good use whenever you have the time to donate them!
If you can commit to being part of a specific event’s organising team, don’t worry or feel overwhelmed at the thought! There are always handover notes available from previous years for you to follow, so you wouldn’t be starting from scratch!!
Each year group are assigned one big event in one term that they must take responsibility for organising. We reply on parents & carers for the running of these events, as it may not be able to run if we don’t get these in place in time.
YR 3 & YR 4 PARENTS | FIREWORKS NIGHT Saturday, 18th October 2025 | A team for this must be in place at the start of the Autumn 2025 term! |
YR 5 & YR 6 PARENTS | PRIORY ROCKS Saturday, 4th July 2026 | A team for this must be in place before the Spring Term 2026 Half Term holiday! |
However, please be aware, that these events will need still require ALL YEAR GROUPS to sign up to help on the day of the event (to help set up, clear up, to do shifts on the BBQ, Bar, Tuck Shop, popcorn stand, etc). See messages and sign-up sheets sent via your reps nearer the time for details on how to do this.
