Data Protection

Reigate Priory Junior School, are the Data Controller for the purposes of the Data Protection Act.  We collect information, and may receive information from previous school(s).  We hold this personal data and use it to:  

  • support teaching and learning
  • monitor and report on progress
  • provide appropriate pastoral care
  • assess how well the school is doing

This information includes contact details, national curriculum assessment results, attendance information and personal characteristics such as ethnic group, any special educational needs and any relevant medical information.

We will not give this information to anyone outside the school without consent unless the law and our rules permit it.  We are required by law to pass some of your information to the Local Authority (LA), and the Department for Education (DfE). 

If you want to see a copy of the information we hold and share about you or your child, then please contact the school office in writing and the information will be provided within one calendar month.

Similarly, parents may also view their child's records in National Curriculum subjects upok request.
