Re-Opening of Reigate Priory School - Message from Mr Moses
Dear Parents and Carers
I hope this finds you and your families in good health having enjoyed the half term break.
I and everyone at Reigate Priory was thrilled with the announcement yesterday that we will be re-opening to all children on Monday 8th March and preparations are already underway to make this happen as smoothly as possible. Having been online today for a few Class Catch Ups, it is clear the children are as excited about the prospect of the return as I am and we can look forward together to the gates opening and welcoming everyone back on that Monday morning.
Needless to say, going into next week there will need to be some adjustments to the ‘live’ elements of our remote offer as teachers will increasingly need to be in school but recorded videos and work tasks will still be available as normal this Sunday afternoon.
I will write to you with further information on next week and our re-opening in due course having reviewed the latest Government guidance and our schools layered approach and set of protective measures. It is essential that collectively we continue to do everything we can to keep all members of our learning community in good health. This is particularly important for the staff of Reigate Priory who remain at the front line and which the school relies upon to maintain the continuity of your children’s education.
I will be relying on everyone to play their part in maintaining vigilance to ensure the best protective cloak around our school to give us the best chance of ensuring learning continuity going forward – we have done very well to date!
INSET Day Update
To allow us to open alongside other schools across the country and in collaboration with Holmesdale Infant School (Dovers Green had no INSET planned for this day), we have brought our INSET Day forward to Friday 5th March. As with any INSET day, school will be entirely closed to all pupils both those ‘actually’ in school and remotely.
